Historic Beginnings

Built during the turn of the Century, somewhere between the late 1700's and early 1800's, the newly restored White Turpin House has withstood the test of time in its location across from the renowned King's Tavern in the downtown historic district of beautiful Natchez, Mississippi. White Turpin, the man after whom the house is named, served as the last Territorial sheriff and as the first sheriff of Adams County from 1812 to 1819, after coming to the area in 1808 with his good friend Governor David Holmes.

This spacious cottage served as Turpin's townhouse and is now proudly owned by his gggg-granddaughter, Kendell Coney Horton and her husband Jesse, and will host as your great vacation get-a-way. Call now for more information
